2011 Can-AM® Spyder® RS SM5


Freedom. Excitement. Possibility. They’re all standard features on the 2011 Can-Am® Spyder® RS roadster, the performance-oriented, three-wheel, open-air roadster from BRP®.


It is designed and equipped to generate a rush when accelerating, carve corners like a surgeon and turn heads


The Spyder® RS is powered by a proven Rotax® 990 V-twin engine with 106 horsepower and great torque for straight-shortening acceleration. Two five-speed transmissions are offered, both adding to the enthusiast experience: a traditional manual, the SM5; and a semi-automatic electronic SE5. With the SE5, shifts are made with the left thumb and forefinger – no clutching is required. Both include reverse for no-hassle maneuvering in tight spots.


Precise handling comes from the unique Y architecture – two wheels in front and one in back – and a sport-tuned, double-A-arm front suspension


What sets the Can-Am® Roadster apart is its unmatched peace-of-mind. In addition to the inherent stability of the Y architecture, the roadster has an innovative stability system. Developed in partnership with Bosch, the award-winning Vehicle Stability System (VSS) includes automotive-proven technologies: stability control, anti-lock braking and traction control.
